Hugh Grant is going to play an aristocrat in his next film ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’. The movie is based on a true story of a terrible opera singer played by Meryl Streep.
The London based actor is working with the Oscar winning actress for the first time. Grant is going to play the role of St. Claire Bayfield, Jenkins’ manager and husband. His character is supportive of his partner’s dream of becoming an opera singer, despite her lack of talent.
While Streep believes that she is the epitome of vocal talent, Grant desperately hides the ugly truth from reports The Wrap. Grant was last seen in 2015, in the film The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
The actor recently became a father for the fourth time.
Florence Foster Jenkins is being directed by Stephen Frears who has directed films like ‘The Queen’ and ‘Philomena’ according to Variety. The movie also stars The Big Bang Theory actor Simon Helberg, who is Jenkins’ accompanist.
The trailer released on 18th February and the movie is set to release on 6th of May of this year.
